Excellent work Ms Sockspeare!

Joe is in the jungle garden tonight - what will we have next week, The Heart of Darkness?

The Sock was thinking more along the lines of Zulu with Joe singing 'Men of Harlech'

Don't worry Crusty
I'm almosr sure there's a Queen who gets her tits our later on.
Ps just between us....
you could wash the socks ... or would that leave tou feeling anxious?

Hmmm... the Sock likes to encourage freedom of comment on the Sea of Immeasurable gravy - except when she doesn't feel like it!

In this case I'm sure you were merely abbreviating Titanias.

Have you no Educashun?
Bread of heaven,

Arabella completely, totally and utterly barking mad (but most of us knew that anyway) and obviously have far too much time on your hands. Keep it up, I love it.
May the condiments be with you, live long and pepper.

The Sock only bans people on a whim - but the whim could be for the wrong lyrics. Surely

Bread from Evans's
Bread from Evan's
Beer from The Collier's Arms...

Brilliant likenesses, with a modern twist to Shakespeare's Summer Play on words.
What a hoot!

"Brilliant likenesses"

You say that, but she always gives Joe a wobbly eye. It's really cruel.

Oh, you mean like Alastor Moody in Harry Potter. His extra eye was very good for looking round corners, or over his shoulder to talk to mystery voice Mark in Joe's case.

I think you should write a Christmas Panto for the lot at GW and send it to them.

Bet the producers would love it and make them do it!

Was there any reason for publishing this on 21 June 3 days before Midsummer's day, which is actually on 24 June and not to be confused with the Solstice?

It is one of the "Quarter Days", another of which is Ladyday on 25 March. This wasn't a popular day as it was when taxes were due, the introduction of the Julian calendar meant that the end of the tax year changed to the present 5 April.
