Inspired by an article in the Times where Eco-knitters are crocheting a new Barrier Reef (picture right) the Sock is intending to create the 'Knit one Purl one' Garden for Chelsea 2009. The Sock is calling on all her woolly friends to pick up the needles and start creating.

Here are some ideas to get you started

knitted cacti

other knitted thingy

No! Not the womb! Anything but that!

The cacti are good though.

My sister has had a hysterectomy. Do you think she would like a nice replacement knitted uterus?

I thought the womb got drowned in the jalfrezi tunnel - must be a new one.
Makes you wonder what else survived the night of the long escape
Oh dear

The Sock hung on to the knitted uterus when we entered the jalfrezi tunnel - she knew it would come in useful!

Which part of the garden did you want to knit? The Sock is doing the water feature.

This blog is really going down the tubes.

Talking of tubes, I've resurrected my French knitting reel and am busy making earthworms and slugs (more stuffing) out of freetrade ethical recycled wool!

Every garden should have them.
