While the bee with honied thigh

This bee was so still in the rhododendron flower that it appeared to be dead. A slight pulsating from its furry back and the fact that it is covered in pollen might suggest that it was actually dead drunk! Clic on the picture to enlarge - it is really quite strange.

A bumble bee flew into my ear today - it was very loud!

Ahh, how sweet. Have you noticed that when bumble bees are a bit dopey and you disturb them, they wave a middle leg at you, irritatedly? SomeBeans does a very good impression of an irritated dopey bumble bee.

Ha ha HappyM -- did you mean that to sound as smutty as it does? (By the way I twice meant to comment on your fab bird pictures yesterday but I kept getting distracted. The longtail-tit is my absolute favourite little bird.)

VP - I once had a spider crawl in my ear and thunder around in there for a while whilst I became increasingly hysterical screaming "Get it out!". I think after I had been slapped several times someone finally shone a torch down there and the spider made a hasty exit. Yeuch!

Arabella, you must have a much smuttier mind than me, I had to re-read my comment several times before I think I saw what you were getting at! It is a very good impression though, but quite similiar to his fiddler crab impression. I do sometimes wonder if other people do animal impressions to each other. I hope it's not just us.

The spider incident would have traumatised me severely!

It was just the idea of Somebeans waving his middle leg at you in an irritated fashion!

I can do a dying fly impersonation,
a fork, a very impressive water feature where I put my head back and gargle wine (preferably red for max effect) several inches into the air, a beaver and a deer caught in headlights (which is what my Dr. looks like when I see him).

Fiddler crab sounds like a good one I will ask the Bedsock to try it out.

I've hijacked the thread a bit but SomeBeans does a very good impression of a baby aye-aye faced with guacomole which it does not want to eat. Sounds a bit strange but it was something we saw on one of those zoo programmes they have on all the time.

Oooh that sounds a good one! I had to google aye-aye and now I think we definetly need a picture of Somebeans to compare!

@Arabella Sock - you have a dirty mind!

I'd like to point out that I don't look at all like an aye-aye, it's just I can do the placing of head in hands and look of utter resignation quite well.

HM and I also have an impression of a baby elephant playing with it's trunk in the dark or a bacterial flagellum. (I can see this might lead to further tittering...)

Involuntary titter hastily smothered over here!
